Conservation of biodiversity rich habitats such as Gangapur and Waghad wetlands and adjoining
grasslands and other rich forest areas of Nashik district.

Protection of Vulture nesting sites at Anjaneri and Vaitarna region and in the forest areas of Nashik district.

Conservation education and awareness program in and around selected wildlife habitats.

Regular field trips, nature camps, slide shows, meetings, wildlife population estimation exercises, quiz, essay and painting competition for students as a part of awareness programs.

Afforestation programs at Borgad and other vacant places as made available, to motivate people to plant more trees in their own land and protect it.

To identify new grassland sites in Nashik district wherein our most important grassland species like Great Indian Bustard (GIB) , Lesser Florican and other lesser known grassland bird species like stone curlew, courser, lapwings, partridges, quails and larks can survive fearlessly.

Explore new IBA sites and to take conservation works at recognized sites and coordinate with IBCN partners all over Maharashtra.

To associate with forest department, and other agencies for effective implementation of conservation regulations and to help in detecting and investigating the offence cases.

To prepare detailed ‘Annotated Checklist of the Birds of Nashik’.

Massive Nature education program to save the resident forest bird species of Nashik district by
involvement of tribal children of Harsul, Peth, Igatpuri is currently in progress.

To save Gangapur dam IBA, an effective campaign has been launched to protect the resident and migratory birds in the area with the help of media and other local government bodies.
